Folios 65-68. A letter from the Earl of Hillsborough concerning the vessel 'Nra Sra [?Nuestra Sonhora] de Bom Fem [Trim] e Santa Maria', commanded by Captain Alexander de [da] Costa, presently in the River Thames. Mentions Portuguese envoy the Chevalier de Pinto [Luis Pinto de Silva Coutinho]. Folio 66-67. Copy of a petition from Quarles [?Charles] Harris and others concerning the legal standing of a cargo of wine aboard the vessel, which was originally French, but sold in Lisbon after capture by an English letter of marque, requesting that the cargo may be landed. Folio 68. Copy of an oath taken by Inacio Joze [?Jose] de Souza of Lisbon, merchant, detailing the cost of buying the vessel in October 1779, and the cost of repairing her, all of which make it, effectively, a Portuguese ship. [All documents undated].
