Description

Bottom envelope attached to reverse of item 68, unmarked, containing two postcards, four photographs and four cuttings:

Postcards, 9cm x 14cm, monochrome photographic images:

1) Front view, unidentified locomotive [probably 4-4-0] with 0-6-0 saddle tank and goods train in background, manuscript note on reverse 'Boat Train entering Plymouth', [published by] 'E Pouteau, Kings Cross, List No' 379, [image c 1905].

2) Starboard side, twin-funnel, screw-propeller, tender boat, manuscript note on reverse 'Sir Francis Drake', [published by] 'F Moore Railway Photographs', [image No] '0172', [c 1910].

3) 9cm x 14cm, 'Mutley, Plymouth, the old station before it was abandoned and demolished for enlargement and extension of Plymouth North Road station', [published by] 'Locomotive and General Railway Photographs', [image No] '8675', [c 1935].
