The Leasehold Advisory Service (LEASE) was established in 2005 and is an executive non-departmental public body funded by Government to provide free legal advice to leaseholders, landlords, professional advisers, managers and others on the law affecting residential leasehold and commonhold in England and Wales. LEASE also offers a mediation service. LEASE is funded by grant-in-aid from the Department of Communities and Local Government, the Ministry of Justice, and the Welsh Assembly Government.
