Folio 196. A letter from S P [Stanier Porten] to John Robinson [Treasury Secretary] concerning the Portuguese ship taken by the 'Bee' cutter [and detained in the Colne Estuary]. Mr Todd finds no evidence she was helping the [American] rebels; however accounts from Harwich [Essex], taken by [Henry Pelham] Davis, are still outstanding. The Portuguese envoy says that Captain Rodriguez has declared his destination to be Porto. Lord Weymouth is in Wiltshire.
