Folio 178. A letter from John Robinson to Sir Stanier Porten, concerning Mr Gordon's letter to Mr Heron, advising that 1,800 men are retiring in confusion, and that General [Philip] Schuyler is reported to have deserted his men [?after the abandoning of Fort Ticonderoga in the Saratoga Campaign]. Also refers to orders to examine the 'Bee' cutter [which has brought the brigantine 'Bon Jesus de Tam', Manuel Rodriguez master, into Colne ?Estuary, on suspicion of supplying American rebels] as mentioned in Mr Davis's [Davies's] letter.
