Folios 44-46. A letter from Sir Sanier Porten for John Robinson, dated at St James's [Whitehall, Middlesex] concerning the seizure of 'La Bonne Intention', Henry George master. The vessel, crew and master are English, although the latter now resides in Dunkirk. Enclosing. Folio 45-46. Copy of a letter from [French ambassador] the Marquis de Noailles. The vessel is French, and belongs to Messrs Stival of Dunkirk. It was stopped in the high seas by English customs officers with goods destined for la Rochelle. Also raises the pursuit of a vessel into the waters of Boulogne by English coastguard [customs] vessels, and the reprimand of the two English captains involved.
