Captured ship: Le Henry of Nantes (master Barthélémy or Bartholomew Corvaisier).
History: a French merchant ship with letter of marque (brig, 150 tons, 4 guns, 2 swivels, 25 men and 1 passenger) bound from Charleston South Carolina to Nantes, laden with indigo, tobacco and hides; taken on 23 March 1779 in latitude 33°N off Charleston, South Carolina by HMS Raleigh (James Gambier commanding), and brought into New York.
