Folios 165-166. Letter dated at Treasury Chambers from John Robinson to Sir Stanier Porten that directions have been given to the Paymaster General to pay the bills amounting to £10,600 drawn on him by General Eliott. Robinson says that the Treasury trusts there will not be any want of money or provisions sufficient for the needs of the garrison pending a squadron being ordered to their relief.
