Letter dated at Treasury Chambers from John Robinson to Sir Stanier Porten enclosing, by order of the Treasury, a letter and its enclosure from Edward Stanley and four letters [not filed here] directed to Jean Jacques Denis in the Fortune prison [Forton, Gosport, Hampshire]; François ?Poulet in Falmouth prison; Jacques Ferrand in Forton prison; and Monsieur Chouquet at 102 High Street, Marylebone, London. Folio 183. Copy letter dated at Custom House, London from Edward Stanley to John Robinson enclosing: Folio 184. Copy letter dated at Custom House, Shoreham [Sussex] from J Pecham, Collector, and W Roberts, Controller, to the Commissioners of Customs regarding Samuel Burton master of the 'Liberty' passage vessel of Brighton who continues to carry passengers, letters or goods to and from France contrary to the Order in Council. The letter lists the six passengers as Wm [William] Mackenzie Esquire, his wife and son; Penelope Fielding and her two servants Mary Bushings and Ann Moshford with details of the baggage and where it is to be left or for whom intended.
