'The persons concerned in the fisheries have just now brought me the enclosed petition, which I beg leave through your hands to transmit to Lord Weymouth for his consideration - The poor men will deliver you this letter and will explain to you their situation and distress and therefore I will not give you the trouble of saying a word more. Folio 180. The petition of the several proprietors of the herring and cod fishery to Lord Weymouth praying for relief or that 'means may be obtained to prevent for the future the home fishery from becoming captures on either side'. 16 signatures.
