Folios 166-167. Copies of two anonymous letters sent to Daniel Millsom and Mr Coalman, grocer, advising them to leave Bath as soon as possible for the reason given. The former letter is to be left at Mr Cottles shoemaker; the latter is dated at Rodstock [?Radstock]. A third anonymous letter is addressed to The Worshipful Francis Bennett Esquire, Belmont [justice of the Peace] asking that he 'and this almost ruined city [be put] in a proper posture of defence before it is too late, as your Worship and the ever worth[y] Mr Phillott at the Bear are in imminent danger, likewise the new prison and the Town Hall'.
