Letter dated at Mr Whittingham's Number 5 Cary Street, Lincoln's Inn from Jno [John] Jefferys to [Lord Hillsborough] enclosing an extract of a letter from the deputy Town Clerk of Bath from which Hillsborough will see what has been further done and is still being done since Jefferys's last letter. Jefferys says that he believes a subscription will be got up by the inhabitants of Bath to demonstrate their gratitude to the soldiers and chairmen for their services during the riots. Folios 137-138. The extract before mentioned.
