A letter from John Robinson to Sir Stanier Porten, dated at Treasury Chambers [Whitehall, Middlesex] on 9 November 1775, concerning a sloop at Falmouth from Carron ironworks [Falkirk, Stirlingshire] Scotland, laden with cannon. Enclosing: Folio 121. A letter from Wm [William] How in the absence of the secretary, to Robinson, dated at Customs House, London, on 7 November 1775. Enclosing: Folio 122. A letter from John Raglan junior, dated at Falmouth, Cornwall, on 2 November 1775. Reports that the sloop, John Miller master, is bound for Ferrol, Spain. At this port Americans send their casks ashore, with inscriptions on some of them: 'damnation to all red-coated Tories'.
