Captured ship: Prudent of St Malo (master Peter or Pierre le Boucher).
History: a French merchant ship (barque, 18 tons) bound from Pontrieux to St Malo, laden with wheat, barley, oats, and oakum; taken on 28 May / 7 June 1697 on the coast of Brittany by the privateer Hope (Elisha la Roche commanding), and brought into Guernsey.
