Description

Captured ship: Prudence of Limerick (master John Cowdry).

History: an Irish merchant ship (60 tons) bound from St Malo to Limerick, Ireland, laden with salt; taken on 19/29 September 1690 off Mizen Head,County Cork by HMS Monk (Cloudesley Shovell commanding), and brought into Falmouth.
