Captured ship: Prophet Elias of Amsterdam (master Michel Pietersen Andorff or Henry Huisch).
History: a Dutch merchant ship (55 lasts) bound from Sétubal or Lisbon to Amsterdam or Glückstadt, laden with wine; taken on 30 August / 9 September 1692 off Dover by the privateer Resolution (Thomas Nicholas commanding), and brought into Rye; the ship also had a Danish pass, which her crew had shown to a French privateer when stopped.
