Captured ship: Princesse de Piémont or Princess of Piedmont of Brest (commander William or Guillaume Procez or Processe).
History: a French privateer (150 tons, 18 guns) bound from Brest on a cruise [previously an English vessel]; taken on 7/17 January 1696/7 off the Scilly Isles by HMS Medway (William Cleveland commanding), and brought into Portsmouth.
