Captured ship: Princesse de Piémont or Princess of Piedmont of Brest (commander William or Guillaume Procez or Processe).
History: a French privateer (150 tons, 18 guns) bound from Brest on a cruise [previously an English vessel]; taken on 7/17 January 1696/7 off the Scilly Isles by HMS Medway (William Cleveland commanding), and brought into Portsmouth.

- [CP 1-CP 2]: two examinations;
- [CP 3]: claim to the ship on behalf of English merchants;
- [CP 4-CP 5]: commission of appraisement, inventory;
- [CP 6]: letter of attorney.
[Decision: ship and cargo restored, paying salvage 4 March 1697].
