Description

Captured ship: St Peter of Copenhagen (master Williamson).

History: a Danish ship, allegedly bound from Hamburg or a port in France to Bristol, laden with paper; taken on 2/12 December 1695 off the Scilly Isles by an unnamed privateer, whose crew removed all the papers aboard, but she was then driven into Fowey by force of weather, and was there seized on 5/15 December 1695 on the authority of Henry Trelawney, Vice Admiral of Cornwall.
