Description

Captured ship: St Peter of Altona (master Hans Roerdans or Rördans) [second capture].

History: a Danish merchant ship (150 tons) bound from Bordeaux to Copenhagen, laden with wine, and brandy; taken on 21 September / 1 October 1691 between Dover and Calais by the privateer Elizabeth and Catherine (William Young commanding), and brought into Dover.

  • [CP 4]: allegation;
  • [CP 5]: claim to the ship and cargo on behalf of merchants in Altona;
  • [CP 6-CP 7]:commission of appraisement, inventory;
  • [CP 8]: docket for the ship's papers.

Ship’s Papers numbered SP 1-SP 5, bill of lading, certificates or attestations, ship's pass.
