Captured ship: St Pierre or St Peter of Dieppe (master Robert Poulain).
History: a French merchant ship (barque, 40 tons) bound from Cherbourg to Granville, laden with cider, iron, and beer; taken in January or February 1691/2 by the privateer Protestant Cause (Daniel Clarke commanding), and brought into Guernsey.
