Description

Captured ship: St Pierre or St Peter of Calais (master Peter or Pierre Tronde).

History: a French merchant ship (12 tons) bound from Étaples to Fécamp, laden with sea coals; taken in August 1690 by the privateer Elizabeth and Catherine (William Young commanding), and brought into Dover.

Court Papers numbered CP 1-CP 6:

  • [CP 1-CP 3]: interrogatories, commission, three examinations;
  • [CP 4]: allegation;
  • [CP 5-CP 6]: inventory, commission of appraisement.

Ship’s Papers numbered SP 1-SP 2, letter, ship's pass.

[Decision: ship and cargo condemned, 11 September 1690].
