Captured ship: St Pierre or St Peter of Le Havre (master Nicholas Deshayes or Deshas).
History: a French merchant ship (50 tons , 5 men and 2 boys) bound from Brest to Le Havre, laden with salt, brandy, and hides; taken on 13/23 [December] 1689 by the privateer Protestant Cause (Daniel Clarke commanding), and brought into Southampton.
