Folio 137. A letter from Jas [James] Hammond to Sir Stanier Porten, dated at Dover [Kent], [concerning suspected intelligence sent to France during the invasion threat]. [Charles] Marré [Mariee], who is in a local jail, should be sent to London so that Sir John Fielding can get information out of him. There has been little success with [William] Eldridge, John Edgerly, Robert Clement, and Eleazer Mowle. Mentions a man named Murray who knows Hammond.
