A letter from Robt [Robert] Westfield, town clerk, to Viscount Weymouth, dated at Dover [Kent], [concerning suspected intelligence sent to France] by John Edgerly and Robert Clement [during an invasion threat]. Enclosing: Folio 133. Information of William Eldridge providing evidence of a conversation with Charles Mariee [Marré]. Folio 134. Information of John Norris, tide surveyor in the Customs, with allegations made by Edward Popkiss and Eldridge. Witnessed by Phineas Stringer, mayor.
