Folios 113-114. A letter from Anth [Anthony] Todd to Stanier Porten, dated at the Post Office [London], concerning the packet-boat service between Guernsey and Portsmouth [Hampshire]. One of the four packet boats at Harwich [Essex] and Dover [Kent], including Captain Spargo's new vessel, is heading to the Downs in view of the invasion threat. At Falmouth [Cornwall], the 'Hanover', 'Thynne, 'Grantham', and the 'Anna Teresa' are under sailing orders for Lisbon [Portugal], Jamaica [West Indies], the Leeward Islands and New York [America], with only 'Hillsborough' remaining.
