Folios 52-53. Draft of a letter to [William] de Grey [chief Justice of the Common Pleas] at Lord Weymouth's request, dated at St James's [Middlesex], concern a Dutch complaint over the capture of the 'Fanny' by a privateer, near St Martins. It was sailing from South Carolina. De Grey is to provide information sufficient to answer a petition submitted by the Estates General [of Holland, Netherlands] by [ambassador] Count Welderen. Mentions Governor [William Mathew] Burt and Monsieur [?Pieter] Runnels, who commands at St Eustatia [Sint Eustatius, Leeward Islands] in the absence of governor [Johannes] de Graaff.
