Description

These are classified as letters sent from the Commissioners of Sick, Wounded and Prisoners to the Admiralty, public offices, established officers, officers at Plymouth and Portsmouth, naval officers, etc., and general instructions. The series includes letter books relating to prisoners of war, 1796 to 1833, containing the letters sent to the Admiralty and other public offices, to the local agents and others, orders and warrants and the letter book of the agent at Paris, 1797 to 1801.
