Captured ship: North Star of Gothenburg (master Jonas Junger).
History: a Swedish merchant ship (130 lasts) bound from Gothenburg to La Rochelle, laden with deals, masts, spars, clapboard, tar, starch, tin plates, lead, coal and iron; taken on /11 July 1694 off Beachy Head by HMS Elizabeth (Robert Wilmot commanding), and brought into the Downs.
