Description

Captured ship: St Mary of Stockholm (master George Crosse).

History: a Swedish ship (300 tons), bound from Bordeaux to Lübeck, laden with wine, brandy and prunes; taken on 12/22 January 1694/5 off Dover by the privateer Experiment (John Powell commanding), and brought into Dover.

  • [CP 1-CP 6]: interrogatories, four examinations, commissioners' affidavit;
  • [CP 7]: claim to the ship and cargo on behalf of merchants in Stockholm;
  • [CP 8]: one examination.
