Captured ship: Marigold of Le Havre (master Peter or Pierre Varin).
History: a French merchant ship (40 tons) bound from Le Havre to Brest, laden with lime, chalk, tar, brushes, starch, wicker bottles; taken on 8/18 July 1693 off the Sept Isles [Sept Îles] by the privateer Dolphin (John Roundsevall commanding), and brought into Weymouth.
