Description

Captured ship: Marie Marguerite of Royan (master Benjamin Seguier).

History: a French merchant ship (42 tons) bound from St Malo to La Rochelle; taken on 12/22 September 1695 off the coast of Brittany by the privateer Carey Frigate ([Peter Vallait or Vallet] commanding), and brought into Guernsey.
