Description

Captured ship: Maria of Konigsberg (master Olaus Nielsen Knab) [third capture?].

History: a Swedish or Norwegian ship (120 tons), bound from Flekkerøy to La Rochelle, laden with iron, pitch and tar; taken during late June or early July 1694, and brought into the Downs.

Documents:-

Court Papers numbered CP 1-CP 3:

  • [CP 1-CP 2]: claim to the ship and cargo on behalf of merchants in Uddevalla, attestation as to the ship's cargo and capture;
  • [CP 3-CP 5]: letter, attestation sent in from Uddevalla, with translation.

[Decision: ship and cargo condemned, 3 May 1695]
