Captured ship: Margaret of Kirkcaldy (master John Ramsay).
History: a Scottish merchant ship (40 tons) bound from Kirkcaldy, Scotland to Danzig, laden with salt and lambskins; taken on 24 July / 3 August 1693 off the Isle of May by a French privateer, retaken on 25 July / 4 August off the same island by HMS Centurion (John Bridges commanding), and brought into Berwick-upon-Tweed.
