Captured ship: St Margrete or St Margaret of Aarhus (master Matthias Petersen otherwise Mathias Peterson Engelaw).
History: a Danish merchant ship (50 tons) bound from Aarhus to Bordeaux, laden with rye, beef, red herrings, salt fish, butter, tallow and linseed; taken on 1/11 January 1693/4 off Dover by the privateers Seaventure (George Wells commanding) and Spy Sloop (Charles Donston commanding), and brought into Dover.
