Description

Captured ship: Marguerite (master Nicholas Carnie or Carnique).

History: a French merchant ship (28 tons, abandoned by her crew), laden with salt; taken on 8/18 October 1693 off Morlaix by the privateer Monmouth Galley (John Tupper commanding), and brought into Guernsey.

  • [CP 2]: docket for the ship's papers.

Ship’s Papers numbered SP 1, ship's pass.

[Decision: ship and cargo condemned, 18 January 1694].
