Captured ship: Marriene or Mareane of Granville (master Guillaume Fournier).
History: a French fishing vessel (50 tons) bound from the Banks of Newfoundland to Granville, laden with fish; taken on 30 June / 10 July 1689 off Ushant by the privateer Monmouth Galley (John Tupper commanding), and brought into Plymouth.
