Description

Captured ship: Magdeleine of St Malo (master Giles Poitevin).

History: a French merchant ship (3 tons) bound from Cape Fréhel to 'Lantregey', laden with cider; taken on 27 May / 6 June off Guernsey by the privateer Hope (Elisha la Roche commanding), and brought into Guernsey.

  • [CP 1-CP 2]: interrogatories, two examinations;
  • [CP 3]: docket for the ship's papers.

Ship’s Papers numbered SP 1-SP 2, ship's passes.
