Captured ship: Madeleine of Barfleur (master François Aubye).
History: a French merchant ship (25 tons), in ballast; taken on 21 April / 1 May 1694 in the Road of Le Havre by HMS Canterbury (Basil Beaumont commanding), and brought into Portsmouth. Captured with two other vessels, the Elizabeth (Pierre Asselin) and the Little Lahoughe (Jean Boyson).
