Folios 214-216: Duncombe Pleydell Bouverie, HMS Mercury, Guernsey Roads. Requests that HMS Mercury is only a sloop of war and should be deployed on a different service from that she was ordered. Adds that he would like two men on board to be rated as Master's Mate as they have already been undertaking this duty.
