Description

Captured ship: Delaware Pink of London (master John Cave).

History: an English merchant ship (70 tons, 3 guns, 9 men - 7 Englishmen and 2 Spaniards')bound from San Sebastian to London, taken by a French privateer, retaken by English naval ships (all unnamed in the court papers) during November 1697, and brought into Plymouth.

  • [CP 1-CP 2]: two claims to the ship and cargo on behalf of English merchants in San Sebastian;
  • [CP 3-CP 4]: allegation, with related interrogatories;
  • [CP 5-CP 6]: inventory, commission of appraisement.

Decision: ship restored, cargo part condemned, 7 January 1690].
