Description

Captured ship: Justice of Konigsberg (master Niels Anderson) [second capture].

History: a Swedish ship (150 tons), bound from Le Havre to a port in Sweden, in ballast; taken on 16/26 June 1691 off thr Goodwin Sands by unnamed Dutch and English warships, and brought into the Downs.

Court Papers numbered CP 1-CP 5:

  • [CP 1]: two examinations;
  • [CP 2]: claim to the ship and cargo on behalf of merchants in Konigsberg;
  • [CP 3-CP 5]: note as to the ship's papers, abstracts and translations of the 3 ship's papers [all these papers were restored] with a copy.

[Decision: ship and cargo restored, 3 July 1691].
