Captured ship: Jupiter of Dunkirk (commander Matis Matisse or Matthias Mathews).
History: a French privateer (10 tons, 25 men) bound from Dunkirk on a cruise; taken on 9/19 August 1697 off Aldeburgh by HMS Solebay (Henry Wild commanding), and brought into Harwich.
