Description

Folios 265-266: John Druce, (Navy Agent) Navy Office, Somerset Place. Is enclosing an order from Vice Admiral Vandeput appointing Lieutenant John Parker Robinson, Captain of HMS Aurora, in place of Captain Charles Garnier absent with leave. Asks that Robinson be dispenced with having to provide accounts for the time he commanded HMS Aurora.

Folios 267-268: enclosure with folios 265-266. Order dated 18 August 1796 by Admiral George Vandeput, HMS St Albans in the River Tagus to Lieutenant John Parker Robinson, appointing him to act as Captain of HMS Aurora.
