Description

Captured ship: Green Dragon or Dragon Volant of Dunkirk (master Jacob Battery).

History: a French privateer; taken on [30 May 1689] by HMS James Galley (Robert Reynolds commanding), and brought into Ousley Bay, near Harwich, where it was fitted out to be used as the English warship [Dragon Prize].
