Captured ship: Good Jesus or Bon Jesus of Marseilles (master Antonio Simeon).
History: a French ship, bound from Marseilles to Genoa, laden with cloth, tobacco, almonds, prunes, molasses and sugar; taken during January 1695/6 off Genoa by HMS Canterbury (Andrew Leake commanding), and brought into Cadiz.
