Captured ship: Gideon of Gluckstadt (master Charles Bockleman).
History: a Danish merchant ship (250 tons) bound from Bordeaux to Copenhagen, laden with brandy, wine and sweets; taken during December 1692 by the French privateer Mont Etna, retaken on 11/21 December 1692 off Dover by the English privateers Elizabeth and Catherine (William Young commanding) and Postillion (Henry Martin commanding), and brought into Dover.

Ship’s Papers numbered SP 1-SP 10, receipts, certificates, bill of health, order in council, two illustrated lighthouse dues, paid at Gravesend for the St Agnes lighthouse, Isles of Scilly, and a damaged one for the Dungeness lighthouse.
