Captured ship: St François Xavier of Marseilles (master Antoine Teissere).
History: a French merchant ship (180 tons, 20 men) bound from Marseilles to Constantinople, laden with coffee, oil and cotton; taken during 1697 by HMS Dragon (Edward Rigby commanding).
