Description

Captured ship: François or Francis of Le Havre (master Simon de Haye).

History: a French merchant ship (25 tons) bound from Le Croisic to Le Havre, laden with salt and wine; taken on 13/23 March 1693/4 off Camaret by the privateer Diligence (Peter Cock commanding) and brought into Guernsey.

  • [CP 1]: 3 examinations;
  • [CP 2]: attestation as to the delay of commissions sent to Guernsey;
  • [CP 3]: docket, still attached to the ship's papers.

Ship’s Papers numbered SP 1-SP 3, ship's passes, accounts.

[Decision: ship and cargo restored, 3 May 1694].
