History: a French merchant ship (galliot hoy, 40 tons) bound from Quillebeuf-sur-Seine to Bordeaux or La Rochelle, in ballast; taken on 10/20 December 1696 off the Isle de Batz by the privateer Prosperous (Dennis Rous commanding) and brought into Weymouth.
