Captured ship: Fortune of Piscataway (master Moses Furbur).
History: an English merchant ship (New England) bound from Barbados to London, laden with ginger and molasses; taken by a French warship, retaken on or around 11/21 August 1689 off Ushant by the Dutch warship Swaert Arent (Hugo commanding), part of the Dutch squadron of Rear Admiral Jan Van Brakel, and brought into Plymouth.
